Chalav u' Dvash is a new, innovative Hebrew language instruction program from the Jewish Agency for Israel, bringing everyday Hebrew to Jewish children everywhere. Today, over 15,000 children around the world are learning Hebrew with Chalav u'Dvash. Chalav u'Dvash is intended for children aged three to seven and teaches conversational Hebrew in Hebrew (Ivrit b'Ivrit). The program comes packaged in a kit that includes teacher's guides, books, games, picture cards, music, the program mascot doll and more. In just a few half-hour sessions a week taught in Hebrew, children can master simple conversational Hebrew. The program can be used in preschool classes, after-school enrichment, day camps, supplementary setting and parent-children groups. (Curriculum for Schools, 2008)
