No longer a child, but not yet a man, Yoni is a lonely teenager trapped in a troubled home. Torn between a frustrated mother and a violent father, he turns against the authority of his teachers. When his rebellious behavior leads to his expulsion from school his parents take a firm stand: they will decide the proper path for him, and he will follow it.
Searching for answers in different directions, the parents confront the conflicts between them, and unite in a compromise more terrifying than any Yoni could imagine. Their solution will force Yoni to give up everything that matters to him: his best friend, his first love, the music he can't live without....and fighting his fate, he struggle for survival. A poignant story of youthful innocence and the quest for independence, THERE WAS NO WAR IN '72 is an inspiring odyssey for every generation. (be- '72 Lo Hayta Milhama, 1995, Drama)
